Core Manufacturing Skills Training Program

This 288-hour (11 week) course develops skills and knowledge  related to blueprint reading, equipment and technology, shipping and receiving, inventory, materials handling, quality assurance, clean rooms, forklift safety, and more. Graduates are ready for entry level manufacturing and warehousing positions, including electronic assembly, soldering, and shipping and receiving.

Graduates will acquire knowledge of:

  • Forklift safety,
  • LEAN and ISO Standards,
  • Manufacturing and Warehousing,
  • Reading blueprints, and
  • Attain these credentials: OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Training, Forklift Safety Operator Certification, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001.

Example entry-level jobs include:

  • Soldering Technician ($18-$21/hour)
  • Assembler ($13-$14/hour)

Career paths requiring 3+ years of experience and/or further certifications/associates degree:

  • Welder ($18-$21/hour)
  • CNC Machine Operator ($20-$25/hour)

Sample positions requiring 5+ years of experience and/or bachelors or associates degree:

  • Production Manager ($42-$47/hour)
  • CNC Machine Programmer ($21-$25/hour)
