Supporting yourself and your family can be difficult when you’ve been out of the workforce for a long time, which requires unique support.
Avivo’s displaced homemaker services, designated as the Displaced Homemaker Program and funded by the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development (DEED), help women or men who have been the primary caretaker at home, and have lost their primary income. We help participants find worthwhile employment, and link them to training opportunities and livable wage jobs.
Individuals may be eligible if they:
- Are recently divorced
- Have been a full-time caregiver or homemaker
- Are a military veteran
- Personalized assessments
- Individuals counseling
- Education and training
- Job search and placement support
- Networking and support
- Other short-term assistance
Avivo is unique because we can pair our services and provide holistic support to ensure you are on the path to stability and employment.
Services are available at no cost!
