Avivo’s holiday campaign aims to raise funds to achieve ambitious goal by Dec. 31

This year has posed exceptional challenges for both our dedicated Avivo staff and community members they serve, especially those battling opioid addiction and the negative effects of trauma and mental illness.

To address the escalating demand for services and the heightened acuity of needs, we have set an ambitious goal of raising $300,000 by December 31. Our focus is on building hope, brick by brick and step by step, with housing being foundational.

Your gift this season can make the most significant impact in the following areas:

Building Hope Through Housing. One of Avivo’s transitional recovery housing buildings is partially closed due to an unsafe exterior wall. Your donation will contribute to repairing this structure, enabling 21 adults to regain housing and focus on their recovery.

Avivo Village. We provide shelter without barriers to leaving the cold. Avivo Village connects residents with wraparound support to help them transition to permanent housing. Your contribution ensures space for adults on the waiting list.

Avivo’s Area of Greatest Need. Your gift supports Avivo’s unique way of combining services such as shelter, housing, substance use disorder treatment, mental health services, training, and employment services. This holistic approach helps individuals facing severe challenges achieve their personal life goals.

Living in Minneapolis’ largest encampment, she found success through Avivo’s treatment and housing options, having tried treatment unsuccessfully seven times before. With a stable home at Avivo, Candy achieved success in her recovery journey and secured permanent housing. Now, she is thriving in school while volunteering to care for others in encampments.
