MN Family Resiliency Program

Supporting yourself and your family can be difficult when you’ve been out of the workforce for a long time, which requires unique support.

Avivo’s Minnesota Family Resiliency Partnership (as of August 1, 2020, this program changed names from Displaced Homemaker Program) is funded by the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development (DEED). Avivo staff will work with program participants to help them find worthwhile employment, and link them to training opportunities and livable wage jobs.

Have you been the primary caregiver in your home, and now need to transition to going to work and/or earn enough to support yourself or your household?

Individuals may be eligible if they are transitioning or lost their primary income source due to:

  • Separation
  • Divorce
  • Death
  • Loss of public assistance

Services include:

  • Personalized assessments
  • Individuals counseling
  • Education and training
  • Job search and placement support
  • Networking and support
  • Other short-term assistance

Avivo pairs our career education and employment services to provide holistic support, at no cost to you, to ensure you are on the path to stability and employment.
