In-Kind Donation Needs

You can make a difference in the lives of those Avivo serves by donating urgent donation needs items or kits, which are listed below. Items can range from welcome baskets to move-in kits to basic hygiene items, and all make a tremendous difference in someone’s life. Please ensure any donations are new, and not used – we are no longer accepting used items. Featured Need Kit of the Month: Culturally Responsive Hygiene Kits

Everyone deserves access to products that work for their hair and skin. This month, we are collecting hygiene kits that include products designed for people with textured, curly, and Black hair. By providing culturally responsive items, we can ensure that everyone in Avivo’s programs experience the dignity and care that come with having products that meet their individual needs.

Suggested Items

  • Shampoo and conditioner for textured and curly hair (check out this link if you need product suggestions)
  • Soap or body wash
  • Lotion
  • Loofah or washcloth

Dropoff of kits should take place in Minneapolis at the front desk of our 1900 Chicago Avenue location, Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

 

In-Kind Item of the Month: Pet Supplies

Pets are family for many of us, and also the people who we serve, and we work to support both people and the animals they love! From dogs and cats at Avivo Village to pets encountered by our Street Outreach Team, your support through our Chewy Wish List helps ensure that pets and their people have access to the basic supplies they need. To drop off kits you’ve assembled, please plan to drop off at 1900 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404 during business hours, Monday-Friday. For more information or to schedule a donation drop-off, contact giving@avivomn.org. Another option for donating baskets and kits is to ship items directly to Avivo via our Target Charity registry.
