In-Kind Donation Needs
You can make a difference in the lives of those Avivo serves by donating urgent donation needs items or kits, which are listed below. Items can range from welcome baskets to move-in kits to basic hygiene items, and all make a tremendous difference in someone’s life. Please ensure any donations are new, and not used – we are no longer accepting used items. If you’re interested in making a difference, please look carefully over the following options to select a donation or kit that matches your interests. June Featured Need: Cleaning Kits
The people we serve are in need of cleaning kits to help keep their living spaces clean and dignified! We provide these kits when someone is moving into Avivo’s transitional recovery lodging or moving into more permanent housing.
Cleaning Kits contain:
- All-purpose cleaner
- Windex
- Kitchen sponges
- Dish soap
- Hand soap
- Laundry detergent
- Garbage bags
- Paper towels
Dropoff of kits should take place in Minneapolis at the front desk of our 1900 Chicago Avenue location, Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
June In-Kind Item of the Month: Gas Station Gift Cards
With the price of gas continuing to rise, those Avivo participants who need to drive to treatment, jobs, grocery shopping, or appointments are needing a little extra support to be able to get around. Gas cards of any denomination would be helpful to bridge the gap for these individuals.
To drop off kits you’ve assembled, please plan to drop off at 1900 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404 during business hours, Monday-Friday. For more information or to schedule a donation drop-off, contact giving@avivomn.org. Another option for donating baskets and kits is to ship items directly to Avivo via our Target Charity registry.
