Thank you for joining us for 2025 Avivo Night of Champions! With your generous support, this year’s event was our most successful fundraiser, ever! We raised nearly $220,000 in support of Avivo’s life-changing services.
Thank you for joining us for Avivo Night of Champions, an unforgettable evening celebrating community heroes and supporting Avivo’s life-changing services! At this year’s event, guests enjoyed a lively reception with live music, appetizers, a cash bar, and a silent auction, followed by a powerful program featuring inspiring speakers, entertainers, and the presentation of the 2025 Avivo Champion Awards to three remarkable honorees.

Event Emcee
Reg Chapman
Reporter, WCCO-TV, CBS for Minnesota
Reg Chapman came to WCCO from WNBC-TV in New York City where he covered an array of stories including the Coney Island, N.Y., plane crash and 50 shots fired at motorist Sean Bell by New York Police. Prior to that, Reg was a crime beat reporter at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis. He also reported at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, PA, where he covered the crash of Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. Before that, Reg was a reporter/anchor for WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio, WOWT-TV in Omaha, Nebraska, and KTIV-TV in Sioux City, Iowa.
A Gulf War veteran, Reg graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he earned a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism. He has received the Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, several Associated Press awards, honors from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the YMCA honored him as a Black Achiever.
Entertainment
Jennifer Grimm
Jennifer Grimm was born into one of America’s last standing traveling vaudeville families. Grimm has continued to choose music and entertainment as her profession, appearing in concert halls, theaters, jazz clubs, and performing arts centers nationwide as well as being the Music Director at one of Downbeat Magazine’s Top 100 Jazz Clubs in the World.
Jennifer’s singing, songwriting and producing has resulted in her original works being featured on NBC, UNIVERSAL, SONY, AMC, TLC, HULU, and CW. In addition, Grimm works in the voiceover industry and has been the voice of many national companies and numerous audiobooks. As a newly minted member of the Recording Academy, 2024 WAA Fellow of the Performing Arts Discovery Program, and Selected Member of 2024 US Delegation for the Worldwide Music Expo, Jennifer Grimm is delighted to continue performing with various projects and artists including the internationally acclaimed orchestrator Adi Yeshaya in his reignited personal project, The Adi Yeshaya Jazz Orchestra.

Captain Organ
Captain Organ is an organ trio with Jordan Hedlund at the helm. Jordan is no stranger to the Minneapolis music scene and performs extensively, currently working mainly as the Music Director for touring shows with Rhythm Street Movement.
Captain Organ is a musical trio with organ, drums and guitar laying down grooves to set the vibe. Musicians Tim Zhorne on drums and Joe Cruz on guitar round out the group.
