Adopt-A-Family

Thanks to 283 generous donors, in 2022 we were able to give a record number of individuals and families holiday gifts – with more than 2,100 individuals and 400 families receiving gifts. If you would still like to support an individual or family, please make a donation

Avivo’s Adopt-A-Family Holiday Gift Giving Program matches families who are currently participating in an Avivo program with community sponsors who anonymously provide gifts for the holidays. Join our Adopt-A-Family holiday gift program, with a goal of helping 500 families have a happy holiday season.

“A weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” shares one mother in Avivo’s programs. “These gifts are a true blessing to me and my kids.”

Here’s how Adopt-A-Family works:

As a donor, you will be matched with as many individuals & families as you like. We ask donors to spend a maximum of $50-$75 per individual. Depending on the number of individuals that you choose to support, you’ll be matched with one or more families. In the spirit of our families receiving equitable support, if you are willing to spend more than the spending limit, we encourage you to register to support more individuals, thus supporting more families.

The timeline:

Mid-fall: Registration opens.

Second week of November: Donors and families will be matched. Donors will then be contacted individually with family information. At this time, donors will also receive a link to register for a day and time to deliver the gifts to one of eight Avivo offices.

First full week of December: Donors will drop off gifts. Volunteers will be present at each site to accept and organize each of the gift sets. If you are interested in volunteering to accept, organize, or distribute gifts, please complete a volunteer interest form.
