We’re seeking volunteers to support our mission in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dakota County, and St. Cloud.

Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Supporting programs and staff with day-to-day activities
• Assisting with administrative or organizational projects
• Helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for participants
• Contributing specialized skills such as marketing, design, or technology

June Featured Volunteer Opportunity of the Month: Donations and Logistics Volunteer

Do color-coded bins, tidy shelves, and a perfectly organized space spark joy for you? If you’re someone who thrives on behind-the-scenes magic that makes a real difference — we’ve got the role for you!

At Avivo, in-kind donations from the community play a huge role in supporting participants in our programs — from coloring books, shampoo, snacks and household essentials. This volunteer role is all about making sure those donations are organized, accessible, and ready to go when they’re needed most.

This role is in person at 1900 Chicago Ave Minneapolis and is during business hours or Thursday evening.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

We offer flexible opportunities for corporate teams, community groups, schools, and friends to get involved – whether you’re looking for a hands-on experience or a way to give back from your own space.

Your group’s time and effort directly supports individuals and families in our community. Whether you’re organizing supplies, refreshing a space, or collecting essential items, your contribution helps us create a more welcoming, dignified experience for those accessing services.

What your group can do:

• Support On-Site Projects
  Join us at one of our locations to help with projects that keep our spaces welcoming and running smoothly. Activities may include organizing donations, assembling materials, cleaning and refreshing spaces, or completing special projects like painting.
• Assist with Events & Program Support
  Help bring our programs to life by supporting events, preparing materials, or assisting staff behind the scenes. These opportunities vary based on current program needs.
• Host a Donation Drive
  Prefer to engage your group off-site? Organize a donation drive to collect high-need items for the people we serve. We’ll provide guidance on what’s most needed and how to make your drive impactful.
