Meet Emily Bastian – Avivo’s new Vice President of Chemical & Mental Health

We’re excited to announce that Emily Bastian has been promoted to Avivo’s Vice President of Chemical & Mental Health.

“Emily has a track record of success as a senior leader in Avivo’s chemical and mental health division,” shares Kelly Matter, Avivo President & CEO. “She is an exceptional advocate for recovery and reducing disparities for individuals we serve.”

Emily has been with Avivo since 2012, including five years in a senior leadership role as director of care coordination. She’s managed and supervised a 100+ member team providing care coordination, housing and community mental health programming within Hennepin, Ramsey and Dakota counties.

“Avivo is a leader in providing access, treatment and supportive services for our community members who struggle the most with substance use, mental illness, homelessness and economic disparities,” shares Emily.

If you've watched, or read, the news surrounding the Wall of Forgotten Natives homeless encampment and Navigation Center in Minneapolis, you've likely seen Emily speaking about Avivo's progress in housing individuals experiencing homelessness. She serves as a thought-leader in the community, and she has strong experience in positively representing Avivo in partner collaborations and key initiatives.

Avivo has several large initiatives in the works aimed at fighting homelessness, serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, and addressing the opioid epidemic. We're happy to welcome Emily Bastian to lead Avivo's passionate and highly-skilled teams in these areas.
