Guy Mingo
President & CEO, Marsden Services

Guy Mingo is the President and CEO of Marsden Holding, L.L.C., one of the largest privately held building maintenance and security firms in the United States. Guy began his career at Marsden in 1978 when he was hired by the company’s founder, Skip Marsden. Guy became the CEO in 2002 and under his leadership, Marsden has grown from a local Midwest operation to a $500M enterprise with 10,000 employees across the country. In addition to directing the strategy that has led to exponential financial and geographic growth, Guy has also overseen more than 40 acquisition integrations and launched a joint venture company. 

Guy’s long tenure and expertise make him a leading voice in the building service contractors’ industry. In 2011, Guy was elected to the Twin Cities Business Hall of Fame. In 2020, Guy was awarded the Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service by the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI). This award is given to a BSCAI member who has made outstanding contributions to the industry and furthered the programs and image of building service contractors. And in 2021, Guy was recognized as one of the most admired CEOs of the year by the St. Paul/Minneapolis Business Journal. Guy is a Certified Building Services Executive and his commitment to the industry also includes his active involvement in the formation of the Cleaning Coalition of America (CCA).  

Guy currently serves on various boards including his current role at Marsden Holding, L.L.C. National Service Alliance, which is a premier group purchasing organization for business service contractors and Minnesota Business Partnership which is comprised of more than 100 CEOs and senior executives of Minnesota’s largest employers. Guy also serves as a Trustee/Principal for Tier-One Property Services, LLC, Marsden’s joint venture company. 

Giving back has been a cornerstone of Guy’s personal and professional endeavors, which is clearly demonstrated in his current and past commitments to the Regions Hospital Foundation Board, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota, Goodwill Easter Seals, Hope Academy, and the Alzheimer’s Center for Aging and Memory fundraising campaign. Under Guy’s leadership, Marsden has contributed 10% of pre-tax profits to charitable organizations.  

Outside of his work, Guy is an avid golfer, hunter, and bowler. He enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
