Dozens of Avivo participants receive suits at Men’s Wearhouse Suit Giveaway

Fifty-nine participants in Avivo’s programs got a head start on their upcoming job hunt, after receiving a suit at this year’s Men’s Wearhouse Suit Giveaway. Many came away with a complete outfit – including dress shirts, shoes, and accessories.

Thanks to volunteers from UPS, as well as Avivo staff, for helping us put on this year’s event. Volunteers helped as personal shoppers, to size and style participants, and to help sort suits by size and style.

“Every year this is an amazing and heart-warming event. Dozens of men come to pick up suits to wear to job interviews.”

All of the men who received suits are enrolled in Avivo’s programs, with many in career education training programs and/or working with career counselors. Getting a suit is a big step in their move toward employment or advancement.

If you or your organization would like to volunteer at Avivo for an event in the future, you can contact Rebecca Bedner-Faris at 612.752.8030 or by email.
