All programs offer industry-specific credentials necessary for career advancement. We offer individual courses for people to enhance their skills as well as first-step training courses that give students at least one credential to help secure an entry-level position in their career path.
Personal, professional learning environment
Our courses have a low student-to-instructor ratio and are designed to meet the needs of people with all abilities, including individuals living with disabilities. Facilitators are experts in their fields. Many are Avivo business partners who provide firsthand teaching about the workplace and employer needs.
Career pathways and employment services
Each training program is designed to start a student, or enhance an individual’s skills, on a career pathway for economic advancement. Students may be paired with an employment specialist or navigator to create an individualized employment or career plan that includes resume development, job search skills, interview coaching, and job placement support.
Workshops and job clubs
Avivo offers monthly workshops to students and participants. Topics range from behavioral interview techniques, practicing mock interviews with Avivo Business Partners, or learning about a local business directly by an employer visit.
