Avivo programs move to make access easier for Avivo participants
Avivo is excited to announce a campus move that brings several Avivo programs in closer proximity, enabling individuals to receive a wide range of services in one location. The Avivo Institute of Career & Technical Education and several employment services moved from their South Minneapolis location at 2438 27th Avenue S. to Avivo’s Chicago Avenue campus. The building will be open to the public on April 1.

Programs moving to Avivo’s Chicago Avenue Campus include:
- Avivo Institute of Career & Technical Education
- Employment services serving adults in Hennepin County
- All Dislocated Worker programs (for adults who have lost employment due to layoff)
- Minnesota Family Resiliency Partnership (serving adults transitioning to work due to loss of primary income because of divorce, separation or having been a caregiver)
- Metro-based Extended Employment Services (employment services support for adults with disabilities in the workplace)
The campus centralization creates easier access for participants across Avivo’s continuum of programs, particularly program participants connected to Avivo’s treatment programs, Mental Health Clinic, and transitional recovery housing program. By centralizing many of Avivo’s programs on one campus a barrier like transportation is eliminated.
“Many Avivo participants are coming to us for help with more than one thing, and this will allow people the opportunity to participate in all of the services they need that Avivo provides – this is truly holistic. It’s the Avivo Way,” shares Lopez. “You can come to us, and we can work with you on your housing, your mental health, your recovery, and help increase your upward economic mobility.”
